Cleaning the car is among the tasks, which is unavoidable but remains difficult to handle properly. If you’re looking to achieve anything near to a showroom finish, it might take more than a sponge and a bucket of lukewarm.

While there is an option of hiring an expert, the results you can get may easily be replicated more cheaply by yourself, as long as you have an hour to spare and the right gears. To help you clean your car properly, here are ways to look at:

1.      Start with the Mirrors and Windows

Glass cleaners and microfiber car cloths may work wonders when it comes to cleaning glass surfaces. Though ensure you use them when cleaning glasses, and not plastics.

For instance, a gauge cover on a front console consists of plastic. Rather than using glass cleaners or microfiber cloths, you may use all-purpose cleaners.

If your car has tinted windows, be sure to be more cautious. Some tinting can be part of your windows, while other parts might be just a sheet applied to the inside of the windows.

2.      Wash the Wiper Blades

Wiper blades are usually responsible for helping your vision during the rainy season. To keep them in good condition, lift your wipers and wash rubber blades.

Clean wipers also ensure a more efficient action and preserve the life of the blades. While cleaning the wiper blades, also remember to open your bonnet and get rid of leaves, which might have fallen at the base of your windscreen.

3.      Get Rid of the Rubbish

Before cleaning outside, ensure you clean the interior of your car. Begin by getting rid of obvious rubbish from the glovebox, door bins, ashtrays, and other storage spaces inside your car.

Remember also to look under the seats for missing spectacles, mislaid currency, and sweet wrappers. If you normally use a seat mat, be sure to take it out so as to clean it separately.

4.      Consider Treating the Tar

At times, you may find that there are a lot of contaminants on the car, which you cannot just remove with soap. In this case, you can get a car wash chemical that experts use to clean various contaminants.

A car wash soap may only get rid of contaminants, which are water-soluble. However, others need petroleum-based cleaners and wax-and-grease removers.

Road tar is a good example of this. Basically, soap cannot clean it off properly. You will require a tar remover for this.

5.      Pluck the Finish

Cars hurling down the road at around 90 km/h can become a dartboard for crud in the air. Your car’s clear coat can deflect some of it, though it may hold sharper grits.

While washing can get rid of the dirt on the surface, clay-barring remains a perfect way to plus the embedded stuff.

Final Thoughts!

Nothing can make a car look at its best than a good cleaning. It’s one of the important steps, especially when you want to sell it.

However, if you’re not planning to sell your used vehicle, it’s also vital for maintenance and enables you to enjoy the ride.
